The Zoo Parrot

I was admiring this parrot at a local zoo. I had to go home and paint him. Don't you feel for the animals you are fortunate to admire at the zoo? It's a double-edged sword. You see animals you may not normally get to see, yet I always feel sorry for their captivation. It is so much nicer to see these animals in their natural habitat versus a fraudulent enclosure. On the other hand, they are being preserved and fed instead of succumbing to the wild or poachers. What are your feelings on the matter? Acrylic on canvas. M. Marie.
